Description

The Maintenance Manager oversees all production equipment within the contract packaging operation, overseeing equipment preventative maintenance, unplanned repairs, lock out tag out, OSHA requirements, operator training, and vendor management. This qualified individual will be responsible for maintaining existing preventive maintenance programs, standard operating procedures, as well as developing new programs and procedures where appropriate. The Production Maintenance Manager will work to provide support to the Operations Leadership team to ensure minimal downtime and planned efficiencies. The Production Maintenance Manager will build and strengthen relationships with vendors, track and analyze data, and manage administration related to projects. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Responsibilities: * Implement all maintenance activities at the site, ensuring repairs and changes are performed timely and flawlessly * Responsible for planning and supervising all hourly maintenance associates * Determine day to day priority scheduling and follow up of all maintenance activities and associates performing such work * Ensure all necessary equipment and facilities systems are kept in reliable working condition and that they meet any required customer / regulatory specifications * Develop and implement a maintenance associate development plan to ensure training and development of all associates supervised * Support operations in training of new production associates on equipment * Coordinate all planned projects and outages with affected parties * Follow preventative maintenance schedule for regular inspection of all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment * Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions * Maintaining preventative maintenance system and other records of maintenance activities conducted * Maintaining accurate inventory and placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same * Maintain budget in Excel for all parts and supplies spending * Appropriately using and handling all tools and equipment * Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking, etc * Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. * Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate Benefits: * Medical, Dental, Vision (1 day of the next month of hire) (Options available) * 401K with matching program * STD, LTD * Vacation and sick time * High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education * 3+ years in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing/Production, or Food and Beverage Industry * Must have experience in a multiphase fast paced production operation * Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical equipment * Experience with as many of the following types of equipment as possible: forklifts, case sealing tape machines, glue sealing cartoners, conveyors, tray wrappers, heat tunnels, baggers, printers, balers, scales, and compactors * Knowledge of HMIs, drives, and PLCs to do basic trouble shooting or coordinate with external programmer when necessary * Knowledge of automation and robotics to do basic trouble shooting or coordinate with external programmer when necessary * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines * Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools * Ability to operate a forklift * Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with operations team, customer, and vendors * Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time * Ability to read and understand schematics and/or equipment drawings Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
