Description of the Position: The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for managing distribution center associates by treating associates and customers like family. The Supervisor keeps safety first in action and thought, sweats the details, and fosters trust by avoiding surprises and delivery on promises. Successful supervisors work well in a dynamic environment supportive of innovation. This position touches on all aspects of distribution center management allowing the Inventory Supervisor to gain experience to grow to the next level of management. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Responsibilities: * Promotes a safe and secure environment for ID Logistics associates, temporary employees, and customers’ products. * Follows established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. * Investigating inventory discrepancies found through cycle counts and determining root cause of problem. * Identifying any issues with returned shipments, notifying the client, and processing the returned shipments into stock. * Ensuring that all proper written documentation is signed off and filed. * Directing and leading any physical inventories or samplings as requested by the customer to ensure the integrity of the inventory process. * Identifying and researching unique inventory occurrences to correct them prior to having to lock a bay or make an inventory adjustment. * Keeping inventory Key Performance Data (KPI’s) within customer requirements. * Manages key operational requirements within the budget and according to customers’ requirements. * Builds a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates and coaching as appropriate. * Coaches and trains associates to become successful and productive including issuance of training, performance plans or counseling as necessary. * Plans, assigns, and supervises work of hourly inventory associates. * Meets and exceeds customer satisfaction through strong understanding of customer expectations. * Addresses and helps resolve customer complaints both verbally and written directly and indirectly. * Inputs payroll data (hours, comments) for hourly direct reports daily. Must be approved weekly. * Interviews applicants for hourly roles and makes hiring decisions. * Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, in accordance with Food Safety Guidelines. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. * Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. * Other duties as assigned. Salary: 65,000 - 75,000 Requirements: * 3+ years of supervisory experience in a distribution, 3PL, or warehouse environment. * Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, or general business preferred. * Experience with WMS software required; Manhattan Scale or Red Prairie a plus. * Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs. * Strong Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Experience with time keeping; ADP E-Time is a plus. * Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. * Able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
