Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of IT Security to lead our organization’s cybersecurity initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive information security program to safeguard our systems, data, and assets from potential threats. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong management skills to align security strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Work Location: This role is an on-site role with the opportunity to be hybrid. The physical site location is in Scranton, PA. Work Schedule: First Shift - Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Work Travel: 20% domestic travel Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: * Develop and execute the organization’s IT security strategy in alignment with business goals. * Establish and maintain a security roadmap, ensuring proactive defense against evolving threats. * Lead risk assessment initiatives and ensure risk mitigation plans are implemented effectively. Policy and Compliance: * Design, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices. * Design, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices. * Oversee internal and external audits and address findings promptly. Team Leadership and Development: * Build and lead a high-performing IT security team, including recruitment, mentoring, and professional development. * Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. Operational Management: * Oversee the implementation and collaborative management of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools. * Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and develop corrective actions. * Monitor and manage budgets related to IT security initiatives. Collaboration: * Partner with IT, legal, compliance, and business leaders to align security strategies with organizational goals. * Serve as a key advisor to senior and executive leadership on cybersecurity risks and strategies. * Collaborate with third-party vendors and consultants to enhance security measures. Threat Intelligence and Awareness: * Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies. * Conduct security training and awareness programs across the organization. Proven track record of managing enterprise-level security programs. * CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent certifications. Preferred Qualifications: * Deep understanding of security frameworks, protocols, and best practices. * Experience with security technologies (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, DLP). * Knowledge of cloud security practices across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. * Familiarity with incident response and disaster recovery planning. * Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. * Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex security concepts to non-technical audiences. * Strategic thinking with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
