We are currently seeking to expand our collaborative and engaging Marketing team with the addition of a Marketing Professional in Texas.  This position can be in our Houston, Austin, or Dallas locations. We are looking for a creative storyteller who considers themselves a graphics guru or a copywriting wiz. As a Marketing Professional, you will be responsible for producing RFIs, graphic products, and services as well as RFPs to showcase HOK's expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizes, coordinates and controls activities involved in the preparation of marketing proposals, presentations, and submittals.
  • Ensures the delivery of top quality, on-time and effective submittal of proposals, qualifications packages and presentations.
  • Provides input and collaboration with marketing manager and the management committee and practice leaders to help establish priorities and protocols for responding to RFPs and other marketing related inquires.
  • Gathers information about prospects and participates in proposal strategy in support of firm's principals and other marketing professionals.  Interacts with marketing staff in other HOK offices to obtain/exchange information as needed.
  • Provides the initial mock-up of proposals and writes portions of the proposals as appropriate.
  • Establishes and manages timelines and assignments as needed to complete effective submittals.
  • Participates in the development of and is responsible for maintaining all marketing resource materials-brochures, data, slides, color copies, photographs, files, and client database.
  • Completes and/or directs the completion of government forms, client questionnaires and qualifying statements as required.  Work often involves composing or editing answers to technical questions.
  • Monitors all prospects and coordinates with and assists other marketing members.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the marketing files, including up to date files of submittals.
  • Coordinates, assembles and prepares materials for client presentations and interviews, in accordance with Corporate Image Program and Desk Top Publishing Guidelines.
  • Maintains back-up data on projects and office personnel; assures that resumes file information is current, accurate and appropriate.
  • Seeks and incorporates new references into marketing submittals.
  • Responsible for all group mail-outs; maintains mailing lists.
  • Supervises active upkeep and use of marketing databases, including projects, resumes, holiday card lists, consultant list, etc.
  • Develops, writes and manages production of specialty brochures, mailers, announcements, etc.
  • Coordinates work with outside vendors (electronic transfer of data, reprographics, binding, etc.)  and consultants.
  • Prepares status reports on marketing efforts.
  • Assists with conference/seminar presentations.
  • Sees that supplies and equipment for marketing efforts are maintained and ready to go at a moment's notice
  • Attends pre-proposal conferences, professional meetings or other marketing-related events as appropriate.
  • Some direct client contact.
  • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
Required Skills
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to maintain a strong sense of focus and confidence under tight deadlines and varying workloads.
  • Excellent ability to multi-task, responding to constantly changing needs and schedules.
  • Strong editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong Proficiency in MS office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Creative Suite applications-InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
Qualifications
  • Equivalent of Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or technical related field.
  • At least 5 years marketing experience in the architecture, interior design, engineering, construction or real estate development industry.
