Job Summary This position is responsible for researching, developing, and conducting preventive care and health education programs, including the development of newsletter articles, fliers and other collateral. Tracking and reporting of outcomes required, as well as providing onsite support for worksite wellness activities. This is a Remote / Telecommute position Needs to reside within the DFW area

Wellness Coordinator - Responsible for coordinating wellness programming for five agencies in the Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding area.  

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Community or Public Health, or in the health field.
  • Registered dietician (where contractually obligated)
  • 4 years experience developing and presenting programs in corporate, public or community health education, or health promotion.
  • Knowledge of the health and wellness marketplace and employer trends.
  • Verbal and written communication skills including composing and conducting presentations, composing programs, and interfacing with internal staff/management and external vendors and community resources.
  • Organization and time management skills, along with the ability to work with minimum supervision both independently and in a group setting.
  • Analytical experience including medical/health education analysis.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel including overnight stays

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Worksite Wellness Certification (i.e. Certified Health Education Specialist – CHES, or Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist (CWWS)
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
