Intelligence analysts are critical to our ability to proactively mitigate risks. The position will focus on physical security threats to both infrastructure and human safety, gather information from various sources such as open-source intelligence and social media to identify potential threats; provide intelligence reports and briefings to management and stakeholders; keep up to date on global events and international relations; monitor crime data around our assets and utilize visual reporting tools to identify potential crime trends. Effective communication with both internal and external sources will be vital to stay relevant on emerging threats.

Job Description:

  • This position is requiring the employee to be in the office 5 days a week. It is not hybrid.
  • Intelligence Monitoring: Monitor crime data around our assets. Utilize visual reporting tools to identify potential crime trends. 
  • Threat Assessment and Risk Mitigation: Continuously evaluate physical security risks and vulnerabilities through intelligence gathering, data analysis, and trend monitoring. Stay abreast of emerging threats and security best practices.
  • Technology and Systems Management: Ensure the risk alert monitoring tools have been audited to for up-to-date information. Ensure international travel alerts are input for monitoring to include replicating lists with other security contacts.
  • Security Intelligence Analysis: Gather information from various sources, such as open-source intelligence, social media, and internal reports. Analyze information to identify potential threats to the organization's physical security. Prepare intelligence reports and briefings for management and other stakeholders. Keep up to date on global events and international relations. Prioritize cases in situations of increased threat alerts to include verifying accuracy prior to management involvement. Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to executive travel and events.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including security personnel, HR, Ethics and Compliance, ORM and IT. Collaborate with external intelligence agencies and other security professionals to include law enforcement to stay relevant on emerging threats.
  • Operations Center Coordination: Ensure that vital communications are passed along to operations center staff and security management for situational awareness.
  • Continued Training and Workgroup participation: Attend approved training sessions related to security threats and risk mitigation. Continuously review social media platforms used by the public to ensure there is an understanding of how to navigate each platform. Participate in workgroups with external partners such as Chicago FIRST and BOMA Preparedness to ensure consistence in operations.

Required Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of security intelligence experience in either the public or private sector OR 6 years of security intelligence experience in either the public or private sector.
  • Ability to identify and assess potential threats. Experience with intelligence gathering and analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience in establishing metrics and recommending strategies supporting organizational goals.
  • Experience in utilizing web monitoring technology.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Job Qualifications:  

  • This position is requiring the employee to be in the office 5 days a week. It is not hybrid.
  • Leadership experience with sound decision-making skills
  • Training/Certification in Intelligence Analysis and Open Source
  • Knowledge of analytic visualization tools (Power BI)
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, communications or IT
  • Advanced degree or ASIS certifications (CPP, PCI)

Compensation: $54,800.00 - $121,100.00
