This position within our Employer Document Unit is responsible for the creation and maintenance of standard contract templates for new/existing business in accordance with corporate guidelines, underwriting policy, product specifications, and statutory requirements. The Employer Document Unit supports the Group market segment which consists of organizations that offer Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance to their employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•    Bachelor degree or 3 years work experience in a position involving independent judgment and initiative.
•    Experience and skills in drafting standard or customized group contracts or booklet documents with minimal guidance of up to 10 paragraphs.
•    PC experience including Microsoft Office.
•    Experience in deadline driven environment and completing tasks on time.
•    Judgment and problem resolution skills.
•    Verbal and written communication skills to interface with staff from other departments, draft document language and handle issue resolution.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•    J.D. degree or paralegal certificate
•    1 year experience drafting contract language with minimal guidance
•    Knowledge of fully-insured and self-funded health insurance contracts
•    Experience with Salesforce and task management tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello)
•    Experience working with the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF)

This is a Flex role (3 days in office; 2 days work from home).
