The Child Life Assistant works under the supervision of a child life specialist and report to the Section Chief of Child Life. Child Life Assistant is responsible for planning and providing developmentally and psychosocially appropriate activities for patients in the playroom, waiting room or at bedside.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- Minimum of 2 years of college in child development, child and family studies or related field.
- Minimum of 2 courses in child development, child life, child and family studies or related field.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Child Life Specialist
- Section Chief of Child Life
- Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
