Perform cardiac diagnostic sonographic examinations, to record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data on patients and prepare test data for interpretation by physicians.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- High School diploma and/or general equivalency diploma (GED).
- Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular training program.
- One year experience in all phases of echocardiography testing.
- Telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, and printer operation.
- Echocardiographic ultrasound machine, vascular ultrasound machine, PVR, various computer systems, PACS, wheelchairs, stretchers
- Assume on-call as needed,
- Strong basic medical knowledge, with emphasis on cardiac ultrasound and cardiology,
- Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work independently, capable of supervising and prioritizing in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to participate intra- and inter-departmental activities and perform in a team environment.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- RCT registered or eligible preferred.
