Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Wiring Validation Engineer located in Cebu, Philippines.
What a typical day looks like:
Support Wiring Design through a typical product life cycle.
Support Flex resources to grow their overall wire and cable business
Support joint sales calls with our BD and PMs to provide technical, application or sales support
Remain current on changes to products or code changes and educate our sales resources to ensure we offer these to our customers and grow our business.
Design electromechanical interconnection systems according to Automotive standards
Provide solutions to support and protect wire harnesses
Select and source materials, coordinating with vendors
Drive engineering BOM created from PLM solution
Write requirements and specifications
Plan acceptance and qualification tests with test engineers
Support Harness Validation activities on the vehicle program per contractual test specifications.
Aide in development of project specific validation plans, Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis, and Design Validation Program and Report plans. These plans will address both Design Validation (DV) and Production Validation (PV).
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Possesses a Degree in related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of working experience in the related field is required.
Excellent problem solving and teamwork skills, working with many people and teams
Experience with hands-on design, prototyping and testing
Experience in DVP&R/DFMEA executions.
Strong background in harness validation (USCAR/Thermal/Vibration/etc.)
Experience in Vehicle build verification prior to pilot/production events
Strong background utilizing PDM
Proficiency with CAD, such as NX, Catia, etc.
Familiarity with Automotive standards from different Auto OEMs.
