To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Staff Mechanical Engineer  located in Hollis, NH.  

Reporting to the Mechanical Development Associate Principal Engineer the Staff Mechanical Engineer is responsible for mechanical design, verification and implementation of innovative and cost-effective product solutions of varying scope in order to meet customer requirements from development of concept prototypes and architecture, through the product development process, into full-scale production.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Define mechanical product architecture and design components to meet relevant requirements effectively.
  • Simulate and analyze design performance, verifying results through feasibility and verification testing.
  • Support the creation of product and mechanical design requirement documents.
  • Lead the design process from requirement specification to manufacturing, including testing and validation of prototypes.
  • Collaborate with or lead a team of mechanical engineers in developing miniaturized systems with electro-mechanical and electronic components.
  • Investigate new technologies, generate production roadmaps, and implement design solutions that enhance manufacturability while minimizing costs.

The experience we're looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar is required. Or equivalent experience and training.
  • Requires 6 years of relevant experience
  • Required proficiency in 3D MCAD tools (PTC Creo, SolidWorks), GD&T, tolerance analysis (RSS/worst case), and familiarity with mechanics and kinematics principles, along with an understanding of plastic and sheet-metal manufacturing processes and tolerances.
  • Knowledgeable in materials, regulatory standards relevant to product design, and assembly/measuring tools, with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experienced in product risk analysis, dFMEA, and engineering analysis tools (FEA, worst case analysis, Monte Carlo simulation), demonstrating strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Medical or FDA experience is required.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively in team settings, especially under pressure and tight deadlines, while demonstrating advanced functional and technical skills.
