Job Summary

The “Senior Quality Engineer” will be based in Zhuhai, reporting to Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
  • Conduct in-depth inspection of incoming raw materials and components to ensure strict compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
    1. Implement comprehensive sampling, inspection, and testing procedures for incoming materials, covering aspects such as appearance, dimensions, performance, and functionality.
    2. Accurately document and report inspection results, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Lead and manage the incoming inspection team.
    1. Provide technical guidance and training to team members to enhance their inspection skills and knowledge.
    2. Monitor and evaluate team performance, ensuring efficient and accurate inspection operations.
  • Develop and optimize advanced incoming inspection methods and processes.
    1. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in quality inspection.
    2. Introduce innovative inspection techniques and tools to improve inspection efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to quality improvement and product development.
    1. Provide expert advice and input on quality aspects during product design and development stages.
    2. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality control throughout the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Educational background:
    1. Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or materials science.
  • Work experience:
    1. At least 3 years of experience in incoming inspection or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
    2. Experience in leading and managing inspection teams is highly desirable.
  • Professional skills:
    1. Proficient in using advanced inspection tools and equipment, such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), optical inspection systems, etc.
    2. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and relevant industry standards.
    3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Soft skills:
    1. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
    2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with suppliers, internal departments, and senior management.
    3. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
