The Logistic Engineer based in our Milan, Somaglia site works in the Engineering team being responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting all the data related to warehouse performance, process steps, supporting the business in all its functions.
What a typical day looks like:
• Monitoring and reporting of logistics process
• Analysis of historical and actual data of logistics processes
• Preparation of specific analyses on specific areas of the warehouse, using Excel files and Power Point presentations to be presented to Management, Corporate and/or Customer
• Lean activities: continuous improvement with focus on the quality of the processes
• Calculation and monitoring of the costs of the various activities
• Communication with the Customer, suppliers and all the various company departments and functions
• Responsibility for maintaining, improving and supporting the operations of the laser etching department, including:
- Laser calibration activities
- Perform periodic checks and schedule maintenance
- Publish and regularly update business documentation
- Focus on developing/controlling/improving NPI (New Product Introduction) related processes
- Sourcing local equipment and liaising with suppliers
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Logistics / Transportation
- Experience in logistics is a plus but we welcome fresh graduates
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Being able to reach the site by own car (no public transport available)
