To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Inspection & Repair Operator located in Salt Lake City, UT.
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the Inspection & Repair Operator role supports operations on unscheduled events, works closely to the Process Engineering Team on new projects, and documents daily tasks.
What a typical day looks like:
- Calibration and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Time study and line balancing.
- Installation and modification of work stations.
- Create / modify work instructions.
- Layout and tooling design.
- Support new product introduction activities.
- Leading improvement projects.
- Monitoring, auditing and providing guidance to line operators.
- Processing test runs and preparing records (breakdown events, scrap, etc.), charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
- Providing technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
- Line change configuration.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (electronic components is preferred)
- Electro-mechanical knowledge, electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and dimensional annotation comprehension.
- Knowledge on Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Able to work with and communicate cross functionally with operations, quality and other departments.
- Associates degree in electronics is highly desirable.
