What a typical day looks like:
- Approves new customer requests and master data changes
- Establishes or recommends proper accounting treatment or methods.
- Credit control and customer exposure mitigate.
- Furnishes management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
- Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
- Arranges for audits of company's accounts.
- Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
- May specialize in managing a subsection of the Finance function such as Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, General Ledger, Shared Services or other Accounting-related area.
- Balance Sheet Review
- Ensure SOX control in place, handle internal and external audit.
- Cash flow conduction
- Inventory management and physical count oversee.
- Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Background in manufacturing industry.
- At least 10 years' Finance experience with 3 years GL experience.
- At least 3 years' manager role working experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and interest.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, and deal with concrete variables.
- Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business. Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
- Manages through subordinate supervisors the coordination of activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and employees. Responsible for staff development, performance management, teaching/leading, counseling and/or mentoring. Instills appropriate behavior in others in support of company values. Supports strategic direction for the organization.
- Fluent English-speaking skill.
- Be familiar with audit, SOX and GAAP.
- Business supporting sense.
- Quick learner, witty and strong capability of learning.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA) preferred.
