Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Automation Manager/ New Technologies located in Guadalajara, North.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Automation Engineering, Automation Manager/ New Technologies role involves Lead and drive regional and site-specific activities on Growth and Productivity. Align and support each BU ensure we are achieving goals on both.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Identify automation needs for operations that currently solution is not identified or standardized
  • Benchmarking comparation, evaluation and selection of new automation technologies.
  • Standardization and promotion of new automation technologies into Flex Operations.
  • Define clear requirements to achieve goals with ROI, Investment cost, scalable solutions etc. 
  • Build financial models (i.e., Microsoft Excel); conduct quantitative and qualitative business, market, and competitor analysis; help identify and assess existing and new market initiatives as it relates to Growth
  • Be a key spokesperson to advocate core product capabilities and potential opportunities.  Effectively participate in promotion activities internally and with customers to represent various industry products, solutions, and value propositions.
  • Requires previous Project Management experience in a complex, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in another segment such as Automotive, etc. is very desirable.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS/MBA in Engineering electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similar
  • Advanced experience as Project Management
  • PMI Certificate (Project Management Institution)
  • Knowledge in Automation-Maintenance and Engineering
  • Evaluations, plans, internal strategies
  • Gap Analysis
  • Analysis (Tracking Systems) - Global Customer Communication
  • English Advanced (Worldwide interactions)
  • Finance (P&L- Balances Investments Vs Savings)
  • Valid US Visa and passport.
  • Desirable experience in an Industry similar to Electronics (plastics, Metals, Food-Pharmaceutical Industry Health Reliability)
  • Tracking capacity – deployment for the savings goal
  • Impacts the long-term (annual) direction and financial or operational success of the function and/or site. Approves and/or creates functional processes or technologies. Establishes and ensures effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site. May have P&L responsibility for the function.
  • Impacts long term projects and goals
  • Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approach to critical assignments. 'Provides direction on large/critical projects
  • Gap Analysis
