Shift: Nights, 6:45p-7:15a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, Will also accept 36's, EOW
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- NC License
- 2 years experience
- Must have experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, IV insulin protocols, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin Protocols, CVA, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions
- Experience with IV start, telemetry and conscious sedation
- ACLS, BCLS, NIH certifications
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
- Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
- Unit will accept 1st time traveler
- Locals accepted
- Floating required as needed to sister unit which is an ICCU also
- Target Ratios: 3:1 or 4:1
JOB DETAILS:Target Ratios: 3:1 or 4:1Unit will accept contracts from 13+ weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!*36 or 48 Hours can be offered. If Accepting 48 Hours, No OT will be billed until After 48 Hours12 HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15***NO BLOCK SCHEDULING***Float Requirement: Floating required as needed to sister unit which is an ICCU also.Weekend Requirement: Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: ADC:18 with 20 Beds. ICU stepdown. Post rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, post-op: GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, ortho surgeries. Pre/post OB with complications (Pitocin).Patient age from adolescent, adult, geriatric.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES/UNIT DETAILS: Only one pressor drip per patient, any more and they're transferred to ICU.Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo drips given on unit.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup. Nurses must be able to recognize and treat dysrhythmias. A-lines, BIPAP's, chest tubes, trach's, there are no vents on unit.
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis and Epic
SCHEDULING TYPE: NM creates schedule; ***NO BLOCK SCHEDULING***
SCRUBS: Navy, White or a combination of the two
