The  Senior Project Coordinator will provide project management and technical support for the operation and construction of Enterprise's plants and pipelines in the T.E. Products Central/Northern regions. The position, under the direction of the Manager and more senior engineers, ensures facility upgrades and changes are designed and constructed in accordance with the Company's Engineering Guidelines and Specifications, industry codes and standards, and regulatory agency requirements while also meeting functionality and performance requirements. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Supervises the activities of subordinates including outside consultants, inspectors, vendors, and contractors.
  • Prepares requests for proposal for outside consultants; prepare bid packages, reviews bids, conducts consultant selection process, and makes recommendation for award of contract.
  • Assists with project procurement, providing input and developing specifications and scopes, coordinating with stakeholders and (Supply Chain Management) SCM.
  • Coordinates and drives project activities; assigns tasks and provides guidance to personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of the project.
  • At times, works at the direction or alongside of other project managers or engineers to execute projects in a matrixed organization,
  • Oversees assigned projects to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
  • Monitors project costs and schedule to ensure that the project does not exceed the approved budget and stays within prescribed timeline.
  • Reviews the work of consultant(s) to ensure that Enterprise Products' standards and contractual requirements are being met.
  • Ensures compliance with all steps of OSHA 1910.119 / Process Safety Management and DOT regulations.
  • Stays up to date and knowledgably of company and industry standards, providing guidance to stakeholders and contractors.
  • Assigned to plant and/or pipeline related facilities projects that require engineering expertise including but not limited to plant optimization, operational efficiencies, scope development, project execution, and process safety management activities.
  • Participates in reviews of designs prepared by outside engineering contractors, vendors, fabricators, and manufacturers.
  • Monitors field construction activities to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
  • Prepares cost estimates and schedules.
  • Prepares project completion reports including construction material inventories and as-built drawings.
  • Ensures projects are properly documented by contractors, inspectors, and Operations.  Participates in correctly generating and filing project documentation.


Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • A high school degree is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • 10 years experience in a chemical plant environment with continuous process and pipeline working with chemical plant projects. Experience with distillation, light hydrocarbons, API standards, OSHA 1910.119 (PSM), DOT regulations, pipeline maintenance and construction; and underground storage is preferred.
  • 10 years of related industry project experience with a continuous production facility. 
  • Experience with some or all of the following: process plant construction and modifications; pipeline routing and construction; construction planning, regulatory approval processes, and construction management.
  • Proficiency in PC skills ,Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), PDF drawings mark-up, and cloud file management are required.
  • Experience with cost tracking, scheduling, and project management in a chemical plant and pipeline environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team, are essential.
  • Must be proficient in balancing multiple priorities and activities; and be able to meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to handle fast-paced projects with constantly changing priorities and scope.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 25% - 50% with overnight stay required.
