The Senior Corporate Risk Analyst is responsible for activities facilitating placement of insurance programs for integrated midstream energy operations across the United States. Operations include crude oil, natural gas, NGL and petrochemical processing, storage and transportation along with crude oil and LPG trucking and inland marine transportation services. Candidates need a background in corporate insurance and risk management practices and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review insurance requirements in agreements of all types. Recommend wording consistent with company policies and compliance with existing insurance programs.
- Interface with internal departments to collect data related to new and renewal insurance programs.
- Assist with preparing applications and supporting materials for various insurance programs (property, casualty, construction, etc.).
- Post updates to internal tracking systems for contractor compliance with insurance requirements.
- Interface with brokers to facilitate insurance activities.
- Assist as needed with due diligence reviews.
- Procure required surety bonds.
- Request issuance of insurance certificates.
- Allocate insurance premiums to business segments or assets for accounting purposes.
- Process payments for insurance related invoices.
- Assist with claim related activities including file maintenance and reserve analysis.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Insurance and risk management, in a corporate or agency (Brokerage) setting is preferred.
- Working knowledge of insurance programs and activities applicable to large publicly traded companies.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
