Job Summary:
The Epic Analyst works as a member of the IT Team and participates in the development, design, integration, implementation, and support of the EMR and integrated 3rd party systems consistent with patient and consumer-centric needs. In this role, the IT Analyst is required to have a working knowledge of core clinical and business applications as well as knowledge and experience about integration approaches facilitated by the organization's interface engines. The analyst must have a working understanding of HL7 requirements as they relate to 3rd party vendors and the Epic EMR.

 

The Epic Analyst will communicate, collaborate to review the software, analyze business operations, and work with end users to tailor the system to the organization and account for seamless integration. This includes current state and future state mapping and workflow development, application integration and development, testing, issue resolution, implementation, and ongoing support activities.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of Epic Analyst experience preferred 
  • Epic core clinical and business application working knowledge
  • Epic core clinical applications certification required (Orders, Willow, ASAP, and/or ClinDoc) 
  • Epic and 3rd party integration working knowledge preferred
  • Experience in health care IT is preferred.
  • Excellent customer support skills
  • Able to remain flexible and adaptable with respect to changing end-user needs
  • Able to demonstrate critical thinking through the willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible

Education Requirements: 

Bachelors' degree preferred in computer science major or relevant healthcare field
