GENERAL SUMMARY

Scans the par level units products and enters quantities needed to generate a pick ticket of daily par level replenishment of storeroom supplies in a timely manner. This involves the delivering, receiving, stocking and replenishment of the above products. Receives and Delivers Non Stock products as required. Responds to customer requests.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Primarily participates in the processing of electronic storeroom requisitions, phone call requests and par level pre-determined product levels.
  2. Scans with scanner par levels assigned with quantities to determine needed replenishment of supplies.
  3. Picks, packs, and delivers the supplies to the nursing unit/department in accordance with a specified schedule. Other requests are pulled for customer pick up.
  4. Receives, checks, counts, delivers non-stock items and stores inventory supplies in the correct locations
  5. Responsible for the rotation of stock on a FIFO (first-ln, first out) basis to prevent expired supplies.
  6. Assists the Logistics Manager/Supervisor in the ordering of supplies.
  7. Completes all storeroom, receiving paperwork as needed.
  8. Participates in cycle counts of storeroom items to check quantity physically on hand with “quantity on hand” in the automated system.  Reconciles with Manager/Supervisor.  Participates if required by Finance the annual physical inventory of storeroom supplies.
  9. Answers telephone calls and provides customer service.
  10. Assists in maintaining a neat and clean working environment in the department and areas of responsability.  
  11. Performs duties in the Store Room.
  12. Performs all other related duties as required.

 

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • High School Graduate or GED or a minimum of 3 years full-time experience in a related field.
  • Basic Math skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate.
  • The ability to perform basic computer skills, use Microsoft programs and the use of handheld inventory devices.
  • Ability to operate receiving department motorized and manual equipment is a plus.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Exposure to heat and cold.

Physical demands: Walking, standing, reaching, lifting up-to 25lbs, bending and the pushing or pulling of rolling cart weights that could exceed 400 pounds.
