Description
EECU is looking for a IT Systems Administrator (Applications) that will be part of a team that manages and supports the more than 50 on-premise and cloud-based systems of the Credit Union.
Key responsibilities for this position are installing, updating, supporting, and maintaining the assigned applications, as well as troubleshooting issues, and working with both end-users and vendors to identify and implement solutions. Key applications to be supported are the credit union's core banking system, as well as the job scheduler. The Systems Administrator is responsible for creating and scheduling jobs, and ensuring they run successfully as scheduled.
The position is part of a larger IT operations team and will provide backup support for the helpdesk team and provide escalation support, and will collaborate with network admins, other IT staff, or business units on systems-related projects and initiatives. Though most work is done during normal business hours, there will be times when it will be necessary to complete tasks at night or on weekends. In addition, the position requires participation in weekly rotated on-call phone support schedule for core banking and other systems that must function 24 hours per day.
*This is not a full-time remote position. Position is located at our downtown Fort Worth office
Systems administrators have a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Installing and configuring software
- Performing software patches and updates
- Ensuring applications are functioning as expected
- Responding to end-user support requests or trouble tickets related to applications
- Working with vendors to diagnose and resolve application issues
- Maintaining schedules and ensuring automated jobs are completing successfully
- Working as part of project teams to implement new applications or system
- Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes
Candidates should possess the following knowledge and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of IT experience in a Windows Server-based environment
- Significant experience working in IT and supporting end-users and multiple enterprise applications.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, and general client support knowledge.
- Highly self-motived and directed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- College degree, such as computer science or business preferred.
- EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant's credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions.
- Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg E and Reg CC. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
