Description

JOB PURPOSE Monitors student behavior and helps maintain discipline in the classroom; assists with crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques with students as needed

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To provide instruction to small groups
  • Assisting students with learning needs
  • Consistently monitor student welfare and safety
  • Other duties as assigned
  • The schedule is 8 hours/day, on days school is in session, during the academic year.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in an educational setting

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter:

  • Usual office working conditions.
  PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Travel within or outside of state.
  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.

 

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY Non-Exempt (hourly)

Job is non-exempt subject to the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

EVALUATION

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA's policy.
