General Summary:
The Senior Media Account Executive on DGMN's emerging & non-endemic brands sales vertical, is responsible for managing and growing media partnerships with new and emerging advertising clients, including both endemic and non-endemic brands to Dollar General. This role involves close collaboration with advertisers across a wide range of industry sectors along with their agencies and DSP/SSP partners. The ideal candidate will have the ability to proactively identify new advertiser clients, serving as an ambassador of the network's portfolio of audiences and offerings. They will also foster relationships across varied stakeholders, ideating and identifying new media opportunities for existing clients.
The right fit for this role is a self-starter with a growth mindset, deriving energy from building and growing partnerships in the near and long term, while bringing in new business, and is comfortable carrying a quota.

Job Details:Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifying and fostering new advertiser relationships.
- Owning a vertical of business and driving the selling cycle (both directly and indirectly) with a portfolio of CPG clients including working with different groups that own advertising and marketing budgets, for example Shopper Marketing, Ecomm teams, Shopper Agencies, National Agencies of Record, Digital Teams and fostering trusted relationships with leadership among all clients within their book.
- Identifying and bringing forward media opportunity using shopper insights and tying those insights through to media activation opportunities to meet client KPIs.
- Forecasting and managing pipeline and setting right expectations to ensure proper pipeline and forecasting.
- Collaborating internally with a network of support functions including Product, Operations, Media Buyers, Media Planners, Insights, and Data Science to deliver the best of DGMN to our clients.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Experience in consultative selling, with proven ability to deliver sales results.
- Experience managing a diverse book of business, inclusive of small, medium, and enterprise level accounts.
- Work closely with and selling in to media agencies.
- Experience with Non-Endemic verticals a plus: financial institutions, insurance, automotive, direct to consumer brands.
- Experience engaging with retailers and CPG clients across marketing verticals, including Ecomm, Trade, Shopper Marketing and Digital Media.
- Comfort interpreting closed-loop media measurement tying marketing to sales using retail data.
- Self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously to deliver against revenue goals & client objectives.
- Proven client leadership skills; ability to develop relationships and influence.
- Analytical acumen to make decisions; understand and optimize media campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to internally partner on behalf of the client.
- Travel is highly encouraged to advance client relationship.
Work Experience &/or Education:
- Bachelors' degree B.A. / B.S or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ Digital media and advertising experience ideally within the Retail Media space.
