Job Details:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead key cross functional and strategic projects that deliver significant value to Dollar General. Work throughout the organization to define, deliver and measure project results. Provide project management, analytics, and measure to projects to ensure milestones are met and deliverables achieved. 
  • Rigorously support the identification, evaluation, implementation and execution of processes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Dollar General. Support strategic planning, process review and improvement projects to enhance corporate performance. 
  • Work on projects that improve processes by: 1) Conducting time studies to determine standards; 2) Collecting and interpreting data used for evaluation of processes and equipment; 3) Performing analysis and recommend changes to optimize productivity; 4) Developing long-term improvement strategies that coincide with the goals of management. 
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Process Improvement Analyst(s) and others. Direct the analysis to support current and future strategic initiatives. Coach and develop analysts in process improvement techniques. 
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Store Operations, Merchandising and other department leadership in the development and deployment of process improvement initiatives. Work with IT, Finance, and other support functions to remove constraints, justify investments and implement solutions that improve service and reduce expense.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to quickly identify potential drivers of emerging problems, root cause, and generate solutions.
  • Ability to partner, coordinate and influence across all levels of management.
  • Ability to prioritize projects based on solution impact, time to implement and/or direction from leadership.
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities and projects (3-5).
  • Ability to lead presentations to various levels of management.
  • Design and execute appropriate analyses to size potential impact of problems or solutions.
  • Strong analytical and process mapping skills.
  • Ability to create and execute an implementation plan for rollout.
Qualifications:

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering required, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Industrial engineering, Six Sigma, and/or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Advanced degree or significant professional experience preferred.
