Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events and activities designed to enrich the lives of our residents. This role combines event planning with a strong focus on community engagement and collaboration with the hospitality team to ensure seamless execution of catered events and specialty programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design, plan, and execute a diverse range of social, educational, recreational, and cultural activities for residents
- Plans appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
- Recruits and develops additional resources for services to the residents. Initiates correspondence including public relations communications with outside organizations, service groups and volunteers.
- Advises and motivates residents regarding appropriate individual and group activities based on resident interests and opportunities for growth.
- Addresses resident groups and other groups on subjects of common interest.
- Plans, coordinates and facilitates appropriate mixed group activities.
- Prepares and organizes a monthly calendar of events that caters to the interests of the residents. Submits the calendar to the Community Director for final approval. Posts and distributes the calendar where appropriate.
- Maintains events and activities on the Choreograph app and keeps them current.
- Develops and facilitates daily displays of activities on digital signage, the Choreograph app, and throughout the property where appropriate.
- Provides leadership of events and works with hospitality team to organize and implement.
- Coordinate logistics for events including scheduling, transportation, venue setup, and teardown.
- Work with the hospitality team to plan and implement catered events, ensuring high standards of service and resident satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external vendors, entertainers, and speakers to provide a variety of engaging experiences for residents.
- Prepares preliminary draft of Events Operating Budget.
- Manage event-related supplies and inventory, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Maintains a database and prepares reports on resident quality assurance assessments, participation and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of event participation, feedback, and budgeting.
- Supervises staff of Recreation and Event Coordinators across the multiple levels of service.
- Participates in community in-services.
- Maintains a robust public relations program in support of the activities programming and community relations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Events Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.

Educational Requirements and Experience:
- Associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, Adult Education, Hospitality Management, Event Management.
- Three to five years related experience.
- Two years supervisory/management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

- Oversee and manage the daily operations of community mobile/desktop application.
- Ensure app functionality, performance, and user experience are maintained at optimal levels.

- Develop and execute strategies to increase app engagement and user retention.
- Responds promptly to resident needs.
