Description

General job duties.

Types of procedures required. Patient education, patient head to toe assessment - including vital signs, breath sounds, skin/wound assessments, dressing changes, wound care, Wound Vac, PICC line care, lab draws, foley catheter changes, ostomies, medication reconciliation and education, Epic documentation, communication with providers and care team. Patient interdisciplinary care coordination including - providers, therapy staff, social work, wound centers and infusions, as appropriate.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.

lap tops, portable printers, cell phone communication

Required skills and minimum years of experience.

Patient assessment skills, medication management, wound care, IV competency - PICC, peripheral, etc.., lab draws, point of care testing - INR, foley catheter, suprapubic catheter, ostomy care, communication, patient and family education

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.

State of Illinois RN license, BLS,

Shift or schedule requirements.

Clinician sees patients independently. Are expected to see an average of 5 patients per day and complete documentation appropriately. Hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Monday - Friday. There may be some variation due to patient needs.

On call weeknights and weekends on a rotation basis. It is work every 4th weekend, regular day shift.
