Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Interventional Cardiology department at Weston Hospital provides intra-operative care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs. RNs care for patients during structural heart procedures, including valve repair and transcatheter valve replacement (TAVR).
**A caregiver in this position works 7:00AM - 5:30PM with on-call requirements.**
**Caregiver must have at least 1 year of RN experience in Cath Lab, ICU, ED, or Tele to be considered for position.**
**Caregiver must live within 30 mins of the hospital for on call requirement.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).

**Physical Requirements:**
Requires frequent walking from department to department; requires sitting at a workstation or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs., such as files, documents and computer printouts.
Work requires finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department directors, physicians and other members of the healthcare team; ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem-solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
