Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

**Responsibilities***
The staff of the Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital Postpartum-Newborn unit are committed to the care of postpartum mothers and newborns in an environment that supports and empowers families. Common diagnoses include vaginal or assisted birth, cesarean birth, post-operative and re-admission patients, multiple birth, newborn complications (e. g. hypoglycemia, transient tachypnea of the newborn, jaundice, sepsis, poor feeding), procedures (e. g. circumcision), health screening, pain and comfort management, identification of, and intervention with, postpartum and newborn complications in the mother-baby setting.
Postpartum-Newborn nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Postpartum-Newborn nurses work in collaboration with, and provide direction and delegation with, clerical staff, patient care technicians, and students. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Postpartum-Newborn nurses include (but are not limited to) the VVWH Nursing Standards of Care and AWHONN Standards; upholding the Mission, Vision, and Values of Michigan Medicine and all policies, guidelines, procedures and processes; and participating in professional leadership opportunities on the unit (i. e. participation in unit committees, charge nurse, new employee orientation precepting, teaching classes and inservices, etc.).

Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. **Required Qualifications***
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
One year of current inpatient RN experience
Ability to work up to 40 hours/week on Day shift (7am-3:30pm) or A-shift (7am-7:30pm) during orientation
Successfully complete Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) credentialing within the first three (3) months

**Desired Qualifications***
Experience as a Registered Nurse in inpatient Mother/Baby, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, Neonatal ICU, Special Care Nursery, Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, LDR, or LDRP setting.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree highly desired
Certification in obstetrics, newborn or pediatric specialty
Completion of the STABLE course
**Work Schedule**
Hours- 36 hours /week
Shift- 12-hours PM-shifts (7pm-730am) Monday through Friday, rotating weekends and taking on-call per collective bargaining agreement
Location: Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital - 9 East & 9 West
All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census based on collective bargaining agreement
