Job Description
REGISTERED NURSE, URGENT CARE, MIT Health, to provide nursing care to the patient population of an assigned service area. Will provide direct patient care according to age-specific plans of care within the scope of the practice of a registered nurse; perform nursing duties using the principles of telephone and waiting room triage; utilize established guidelines to respond to each patient's needs; and play a critical role in providing health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT Health. Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; graduation from an accredited nursing program; at least three years of experience as a registered nurse in an urgent care or emergency department; current RN license in Massachusetts; basic life support (BLS) certification; fluency with EMR systems (Cerner preferred); ability to easily access data, interpret age-specific needs, and provide nursing care in collaboration with others; and experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access. PREFERRED: advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification. Job #24332-9Must be available to work three twelve-hour shifts and one four-hour shift per week. Every third week, there is a weekend requirement and the schedule shifts accordingly. 8/16/24
