**How you make a difference**

The Nurse Supervisor coordinates and delegates nursing care on an assigned shift, monitoring clinical operations to ensure compliance with quality care and customer service standards. This position oversees the delivery of nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and ANA Psychiatric Nurse Standards. The Nurse Supervisor promotes staff education, performance improvement, and safety management while maintaining effective communication with senior management, physicians, and staff.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Demonstrate expertise in psychiatric nursing and effective leadership skills to supervise and manage staff performance and conduct during assigned shift.

- Monitor staffing levels and intervene as needed to maintain appropriate staff to patient ratio and control overtime during the shift.

- Assess patient care delivery and provide clinical guidance and decision-making for changes in patients' condition.

- Provide training, coaching, and counseling to improve staff performance and promote patient safety culture.

- Perform level of care evaluations and ensure documentation compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

Education

Graduate of an accredited RN program.

BSN preferred.

Experience

Minimum two (2) years of current psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Progressive leadership experience.

Licenses/Certifications

Licensed in state of employment

Specialty Certification preferred

CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire)

CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire)
