Registered Nurse - 6T Medical ICU - Jackson

Contingent II - See below requirements:

A minimum of 60 hours or more are required in a six-week schedule. Hours, however, are not guaranteed.

· The rate of pay will be $49/hour, which is now paying at the previous Contingent 3 rate. Night, weekend and holiday differentials will be paid.

· For each six-week schedule, this role will require 12 weekend hours and an additional 12 hours off-shift.

· Each year, Contingent 2 nurses will be required to work:

o One winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and one summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th or Labor Day) per year.

o One winter hard-to-fill day (Halloween, the day after Thanksgiving, the day after Christmas or St. Patrick's Day) and one summer hard-to-fill day (Easter, Tiger's Opening Day, Mother's Day or Father's Day).

· There is a minimum two years of experience necessary to fill a Contingent 2 role.

· No benefits other than the mandated retirement benefits.

· All Henry Ford Health policies apply, including attendance and work assignment policies.

· Eligible to change Contingent levels every six months.

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Contingent Option II: Clinical Resources Department contingents that report directly to a House Manager, Clinical Resources Department. Meets all accountabilities of a Registered Nurse. (Refer to Job Description, Registered Nurse, F02426).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. If only ADN, must be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of start date, obtain your BSN within 5 years of start date.

Previous 1.5-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
