Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Lapeer Region provides leading cancer care, treatment, clinical trials and more for patients in Oxford and the surrounding areas. Karmanos is your best chance in the fight against cancer.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work as additional support for the Oxford Karmanos location. The office hours are 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday. This position will be covering PTO, high volume days and any medical leaves. The minimum required shift coverage to maintain contingent status is 2 shifts per month. This RN will be required to complete a 90 day oncology orientation. Prion oncology, medical or radiation is preferred but not required.

A Registered Nurse working in Karmanos Oncology Clinics must obtain OCN certification within 90 days of hire. We will assist in training and obtaining this certification.

Responsible for the delivery of care within the framework of nursing process. Gathers data, identifies and prioritizes problems, develops and implements plan of care, collaboratively with the patient, family and members of the healthcare team, and evaluates outcomes.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

* Assesses, documents, and administers prescribed treatment regimens.

* Obtain and review patients' health history

* Schedule patients for prescribed therapy, in appropriate setting.

* Review and monitor patient lab values and coordinate care with the physician

* Collaborate with physicians as needed to determine patients' treatment plan

**Required:**

* Associate's Degree in Nursing or graduate of accredited school of nursing

* Current RN license in the state of Michigan

* Current BLS

* 2 years nursing experience

* ONS Biotherapy/chemotherapy certification (or within 3 months of hire/transfer)

**Preferred:**

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

* 2 years current, continuous chemotherapy administration experience; preferably in an outpatient setting.

* Oncology certified nurse (OCN)
