**Nurse Informatics Manager (Ambulatory) - Digital and Technology Partners - Onsite - Req#3016896**

**This position is located at 150 E 42nd Street, with frequent visits to surrounding offsites/ambulatory locations.**

The Mount Sinai Health System is looking for a Nurse Informatics Manager to join the Digital and Technology Partners department and work within the Nursing Informatics team under the direction of the Senior Director of Nursing Informatics

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Assist with development of and implementation of strategies and tactics for Mount Sinai's Nursing Informatics initiatives

Maintain knowledge of the trends, developments, and best practices in Nursing Informatics

Develop and maintain relationships with key hospital based leaders to identify opportunities for improving nursing care through technology

Further the competencies and education of nurses in the use of information technology to support nursing practice and patient care

Champion improvements in patient care across all disciplines

Advance the mission, vision and values of the Mount Sinai Health System and Digital and Technology Partners Department

Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements

Other responsibilities within nursing informatics as needed

Candidates should possess the following characteristics:

Patient-focused & empathic

Excellent communication skills verbal and written

Comfortable with ambiguity & uncertainty

Experience with Epic EMR (Preferred but not required)

Professional and positive approach in building relationships with team members and clients

Self-motivated, dynamic, creative and able to work on own initiative

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education Requirements**

Master's degree in Nursing Informatics or equivalent experience and education is preferred

Strongly prefer Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics; or strongly prefer Master's Degree with equivalent experience and education relevant to position.

**Experience Requirements**

5 years experience in Information Technology/Computer Science and/or clinical healthcare discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience

Working knowledge of current/evolving patient care delivery models and challenges and hospital operations with an appreciation for information systems theory and design

Expertise in clinical care of patients, medical center operations, and clinical informatics.

At least five years of experience as a clinical nurse **strongly preferred**

Experience as a nurse informaticist or in the informational technology field **strongly** **preferred**

**Compensation Statement**

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $116,718.00 - $175,078.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
