Requirements:
Active nursing license in Illinois
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in acute critical care or ICU settings
BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
Covid-19 vaccine
Experience with Cerner, preferred
Typical Duties:
Closely monitor patients' vital signs, assess their condition, and respond promptly to any changes. Responsible for recognizing signs of deterioration and initiating appropriate interventions.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians. This includes titrating medications based on patient response and maintaining accurate records.
ICU nurses work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for providing comprehensive care.
Care for patients on mechanical ventilation. You'll adjust ventilator settings, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure patients receive optimal respiratory support.
Maintain infection control practices
