Job Summary:
The Heart and Vascular Center - Pre and Post Care RN provides pre and post care for patients undergoing procedures in the department of the Heart and Vascular Center. This includes physical care as well as education regarding disease process and procedure. Patient population includes patients awaiting procedures and those being recovered and waiting for IP care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent, NYS licensed/registered Nurse (or eligible) with a minimum of 2 years post licensure acute care nursing experience (preferably in an ICU/cardiac/critical care setting) required.
CPR/BLS and ACLS certification required by time of appointment.
Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment, work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Acute care experience in Cardiac Care
Work Days:
Monday-Friday, Evenings
