-CNA- **-night-** -shift Differential $- 3 (http://3.00) -and CNA- **-weekend-** -Shift Differential $- 1 (http://1.00)
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Med Surg team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive the best care and support during their stay in the medical-surgical unit.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Assist patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
Help patients with mobility by assisting with walking or transferring to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
Provide support and assistance during medical procedures as directed by the nursing staff.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control guidelines.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met.
Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Assist with the preparation of patients for discharge and provide necessary instructions for home care.
Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
Support the nursing staff with various tasks to ensure efficient unit operations.
**Qualifications:**
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)-prefer CNA2 in the state of Washington.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Previous experience in a medical-surgical unit is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Physical ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
