**Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):**

$54.400 - $67.470 - $80.540

The stated pay scale reflects the range as defined by the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Professional Nurses Network, United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, NUHHCE, AFSME, AFL-CIO. Placement within the range is based on years of RN experience.

**What You Will Do**

To provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.

**Required Qualifications**

Graduate of nursing school.

1 Year clinical experience (RNs with less than 12 months experience will complete the new grad requirements).

California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED

AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

**Applications for our 2024 Transition in Practice 8 Week Training Program will be accepted on the following dates:**

**- For Internal Applicants:** Monday, July 29th - Friday, August 9th

- **For External Applicants:** Monday, August 5th - Friday, August 9th

**Monday, April 29th, at 5pm PST, through Monday, May 13th, at 5pm PST.**

**Start dates for these programs are September 11th, 2024 for new hires and September 15th, for transfers.**

**Unit Descriptions:**

**Sharp Grossmont Hospital Neuroscience PCU 5E**

-Additional Required Certifications:- NIHSS

-Additional Preferred Qualifications:- SCRN or PCCN

-Purpose of Unit- : Sharp Grossmont is the only Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center in East County and in the Sharp Health System. This unit is the designated neuro/stroke progressive care unit

-Top 5 Diagnoses- : CVA, TIA, peripheral vascular disease, hypertensive urgency, diabetes mellitus

-Number of Beds- : 37

**Sharp Grossmont Hospital Oncology Progressive Care Unit 2E**

-Additional Preferred Qualifications- : PCCN, OCN. CMSRN, Med-surg-BC

-Purpose of Unit- : 2 East is a Progressive Care Unit that specializes in Oncology, Palliative Care, End of Life, Advanced Illness Management, and geriatric care (NICHE).

-Top 5 Diagnoses:- PNA, DM, UTI, different CA dx, sepsis, and other wide range of diagnoses

-Number of Beds:- 37

**Sharp Grossmont Hospital Pulmonary/CHF Telemetry/PCU 4E**

-Additional Preferred Qualifications:- PCCN

-Purpose of Unit- : Provides care for telemetry patients, primarily specializing in pulmonary failure, congestive heart failure, and renal failure

-Top 5 Diagnoses- : Heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, renal failure, coronary artery disease

-Number of Beds- : 37

**Essential Functions**

Clinical advancementUses systematic planning, appropriate methods and timely exchange of information with multidisciplinary team and patient/family to coordinate care. Demonstrates ability to focus on and manage multiple patient needs and aspects of care. Actively communicates with care team to plan patient care. Utilizes available resources to problem-solve and determine most effective approach to action.

Clinical judgment and decision makingUtilizes the nursing process and a critical thinking approach to provide patient care that incorporates the mind, body and spirit; is individualized, goal directed, and consistent with current standards of safety.
