**Responsibilities**

The Virginia Mason Cardiovascular Service line has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse who wants to be a part of a rapidly growing service! This position will serve our Cardiology patients through phone triage work, in person triage and will act as support for the sections MAs. You will join a partner in this role who will collaborate with you as you support our patients, providers and fellow team members. Key functions of the role:

Educate patients about their diagnoses, when to seek care, and how best to help improve their heart health.

Work to improve the care provided to our patients by working with a team open to change and focused on providing the best care possible.

Triage patient symptoms in order to prioritize their care and get them the help that they need.

Be a part of the patient's care team, working with our providers by communicating the important information needed to help guide their care and ensure the patient's needs are met.

The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse includes:

Coordinating and facilitating quality management of a broad based outpatient population across the continuum of care.

Providing skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources

Supporting the care team in the provision of patient care

Providing patient advice

Assisting in prioritizing daily work of the clinic

Providing direction to team members, including oversight of Medical Assistant's clinical competency.

**Qualifications**

Current Washington State licensure as an RN

CPR certification is required every two years

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting

Current working knowledge of electronic medical records

$40.19 - $56.95 /hour
