Deadline Oct 23, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time DescriptionThe Department of Pathology at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University is seeking a Surgical Pathologist to serve both as the Chief of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and as an attending surgical pathologist. Other senior level administrative opportunities in Surgical Pathology may also be available, depending on the candidates interests and qualifications.
Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and academic record.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
MD, DO (or foreign equivalent). American Board of Pathology board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology. Eligibility for New York State licensure. Strong diagnostic skills and the potential to serve as an outstanding educator of medical students, pathology residents, and clinical fellows. Evidence of motivation and interests in research or other scholarly endeavors in Pathology. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fellowship training in bone and soft tissue pathology. In lieu of fellowship training, equivalent experience in bone and soft tissue pathology will be considered. Board certification or experience in other areas of surgical pathology, potentially including but not limited to gynecologic, breast, genitourinary, head and neck, pulmonary, pediatric, and/or perinatal pathology.
