Wound Care Nurses are responsible for the following:
Performs patient procedures within the scope of the nursing practice.
Performs safe medication administration and assesses patient response to medications.
Demonstrates nursing management of patients with pain.
The Wound Care Nurse is a registered nurse who has in-depth knowledge of wound care and the care of ostomy patients and applies this knowledge in order to provide appropriate and effective patient care.
Qualifications for this position include:
Bachelorrsquo;s Degree in Nursing
Two (2) years experience in medical-surgical nursing
Completion of an enterostomal therapy program
CPR certification
