Dermatology Consultants, Inc. is the largest privately owned dermatology practice in central Virginia with 71+ years of successful operation. Our practice will see an estimated 30,000 general dermatology patients this year. Our company culture is one of excellence in patient care, kindness to every patient and team member, and genuine concern for the community in which we live.
We are seeking to add a full or part-time dermatologist to our practice. Partnership may be an opportunity if desired.
We offer an extremely flexible work schedule. We see patients on an outpatient basis only. You would be entitled to a very generous amount of vacation and CME time along with other customary employment benefits. Our approach to compensation is one that is liberal and progressive, with the only limit to earning potential being the volume of patients you would like to see.
We are a comprehensive practice with general medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, nbUVB phototherapy, photodynamic therapy and cosmetic services. We use EMA Dermatology EMR system. Our clinic is a modern, freshly renovated 10,000sf of space located in a large medical office building in a very attractive part of town. We have an exceptional leadership team and outstanding clinical and front-office staff. Our clinical team scribes and performs clinical administrative tasks, allowing providers complete focus on patient care. We also have a very collaborative relationships with surrounding area providers in all specialties; bringing patient care to an elevated level.
Lynchburg is a vibrant and growing city with a greater metropolitan population of over 250,000 and is home to nearly five thousand employers and four universities. There are limitless outdoor activities. The James River provides not only local water activities as well as beauty but combined with the Blackwater Creek trail system are some of Lynchburg's featured outdoor opportunities. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail are nearby as are Smith Mountain Lake and Wintergreen. The city is steeped in history. One can explore the culturally rich neighborhoods, galleries and historical sites including but not limited to Thomas Jefferson's Popular Forest. The arts community is thriving, including the renovated Academy Center of the Arts. Lynchburg is widely recognized as one of the best communities in the region to raise a family. Washington DC is a 3 hour drive or Amtrak train ride. Charlottesville and Roanoke are a little over an hour's drive away and Virginia Beach is a 3.5 hours drive.
