As a Neurologist, you will be part of a bargaining unit position focused on delivering comprehensive direct patient care. Your expertise will be utilized in outpatient specialty clinics, inpatient care, and shared on-call responsibilities. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diverse disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. This position requires the ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests, ensuring personalized care for each veteran. Electrodiagnostic skills, including proficiency in EMG/NCV testing, Botox administration, and EEG interpretation are essential for this role.

Work Schedule: Enjoy a balanced work-life routine with a Monday to Friday schedule, with hours ranging from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Some telework opportunities may be available, along with rotating on-call duties.

  • This position offers a generous compensation package:
  • Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000, with a competitive salary structure that includes annual performance bonuses and regular pay increases.
  • Paid Time Off: Enjoy a total of 50-55 days off per year, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, and 11 paid federal holidays, along with a potential 5-day paid absence for continuing medical education (CME).
  • Retirement Package: Benefit from a traditional federal pension after just five years of service, coupled with a federal 401K plan featuring up to 5% contributions from the VA.
