Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem Highlands Behavioral Health System Littleton, CO    As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Highlands Behavioral Health System, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.    Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) from 10am-2pm as well as PTO coverage for the Director of Pharmacy as needed. Weekday coverage of 2 days per week is currently needed.    Starting Pay: $54-$58/hour (based on related work experience)    About the Facility:  Highlands Behavioral Health System is an innovative, 86-bed hospital offering comprehensive psychiatric care for adults and adolescents ages 11 and older. Highlands is easily accessible to families throughout the Denver Metro Area. Our clinical services are delivered by experienced mental health professionals that utilize an interdisciplinary team approach to individual patient care. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.    About the Pharmacy:  Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am-2:00pm, and holidays from 8:00am-4:00pm. The hospital utilizes automated dispensing cabinets which are restocked twice daily by pharmacy staff. In addition to the Director, there is a per diem staff consisting of 6 Pharmacists, 3 Pharmacy Technicians, and 1 Pharmacy Intern.   Required Qualifications: 

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing  
  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred   
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns 
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting  
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems 
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required): 

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th 
  • COVID Vaccine-Full
