Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem
Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire
Houston, TX

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, at the Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.  Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; and billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule: There is not a regular set schedule for this position. This position works a minimum 4 hours per month and up to a maximum of 19 hours per week, covering every other weekend. The weekend hours are Saturday and Sunday 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour.

About the Facility:  The Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is dedicated to providing patients with a safe environment to receive the customized care they need to live happy, productive lives.  The Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a specialty psychiatric hospital, so their number one priority is to ensure patients receive quality, individualized treatment to meet their needs throughout specialty program models. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy utilizes Medics / MedDispense. The Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am–4:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am–2:00pm.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
  • Texas Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
