Pharmacy Technician – Per Diem

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work one weekend a month, both Saturday and Sunday from 7:00AM to 11:00AM, and may provide other time off coverage as needed.
Starting Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
About the Facility: Mayhill Hospital is a 59 bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults, seniors. This is one of the few mental health facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: This centralized pharmacy utilizes HCS. This Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm; Saturday and Sunday hours are 7:00am to 11:00am.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
- Current Texas Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
