Description
The Edmonton Police Service has an opportunity for one (1) Security Clearance Processing Clerk. The position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of background screenings. Workload priority is assessed by organizational needs while maintaining standards to mitigate risk to EPS facilities, employees, and the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Review, discern and analyze information retrieved from various computer sources and law enforcement related data bases (i.e. CPIC, PIP, EPROS, ACIIS, JOIN, ROADS)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Code, interpreting CPIC results and Edmonton Police Service (EPS) ESC policy and procedure is essential.
- Recognize and identify discrepancies, omissions or detrimental information.
- Organize all supporting documentation and assemble information packages.
- Provide relief and overlap to other administrative functions within the RSS office.
- Ensure all tracking sheets are concluded in the system in a timely manner.
- Attend meetings
- Perform other related duties as required.
