As the ideal candidate, you are an experienced manager with superior communication and leadership skills who can motivate staff, model excellent customer service, lead projects, and build community connections. Diplomatic and collaborative with others, you are committed to establishing an environment of respect and accountability. As one who seeks and sparks creative contributions from others, you possess coaching and mentoring skills that enable your staff to develop and excel!
Using your superb organizational and leadership skills, you will manage the Calder Branch, ensuring that the facility, collections, and services best meet the needs of the community. As the manager, you are accountable for 16 full-time and part-time positions. You are familiar with trends in library service delivery and related technologies and you will promote a learning environment, working with staff to develop their leadership capacity.
You are committed to upholding the Canadian Federation of Library Associations position statements on Intellectual Freedom and Diversity and Inclusion. Working as a member of a system-wide team environment, you will make a real difference in people's lives every day.
