Description
The Information Technology Branch of the Edmonton Police Service requires an Application and Infrastructure Analyst to support the intelligence and geospatial systems teams. The successful candidate must be well-versed with data integration processes and tools, geographic information system processes and tools, be self-motivated, well organized and highly analytical, in addition to possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities of this position include
- Provide technical expertise and support for the installation, configuration and support of the data warehouse, data integration tools, geodatabase and geospatial toolsets.
- Provide technical expertise regarding application installation and configuration or business intelligence and geospatial projects.
- Plan and apply updates and patches to applications and servers.
- Assist users with the use of 3rd party and custom developed applications.
- Ensure the effective and efficient running of various data integration and geospatial toolsets.
- Support and maintain data integration and geospatial processes.
- Provide daily operational support of the business intelligence and geospatial environment.
- Create system documentation including data integration models, systems designs and operational support documents.
- Working collaboratively with all members of the IT Branch to ensure that all application issues are addressed in a timely manner and that proper coordination is carried out to minimize disruption to the provision of IT services.
