TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM MGR WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This position is responsible for supporting the SDLC Governance team in defining and managing the SDLC methodologies of the bank (Waterfall and Agile). This position will be responsible for continuous improvement to the methodologies and ensuring methodologies are kept up to date with regulatory guidance. This position will work directly with project managers and technology stakeholders to ensure understanding of the methodologies through training, office hours, direct interaction, and establishing a culture of compliance. The person in this role engages with all levels of staff and management in the technology and business units. This role operates in a fast-paced environment with teams of motivated colleagues to deliver high quality solutions that add value to colleague and client experiences. Successful incumbent will be capable of working in a rapidly changing industry/environment, can tolerate ambiguity, demonstrate problem-solving leadership and act as a change agent at both the organizational level and via solutions delivery. What you will do

SDLC Methodology Maintenance/Support/Optimization

  • Support maintenance and continuous improvement of the banks SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Help manage the teams inventory of standards, procedures, training materials and other documentation to support the process
  • Partner with practice areas (Security, Architecture, etc…) to ensure that evolving technology requirements and practices are part of the SDLC methodologies
  • Partner with Lines of Defense on changes to methodology
  • Evaluate regulatory guidance to ensure methodologies are in compliance with changes.
  • Help drive the expansion of Agile ways of working
  • Provide thought leadership and significant influence to the continuous improvement of processes, policies, training, and best practices to optimize delivery
  • Partner with EPMO and other related teams on end to end process design

End User Training and Support

  • Train project managers and other stakeholders on the SDLC methodology and provide end user support
  • Assist with project intake and drive awareness of new projects through weekly project forum
  • Work with project teams to understand opportunities for improvement and help drive those improvements. Perform root cause analysis on recuring themes.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to the Project Managers
  • Support applications required to facilitate the SDLC and ensure overall data quality of the system of record

Drive overall compliance

  • Participate and oversee Project Quality Assurance Project ensure compliance with SDLC & requirements across the portfolio
  • Perform reporting on the health and compliance of the overall project portfolio
  • Help enforce an environment of compliance and controls
  • Provide proper escalation to leadership for issues/problems as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with program & project reporting requirements, including to regulators as appropriate
  • Support ITPMO Governance Processes to ensure control compliance
  • Support internal and external audits as required

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing highly complex technical projects involving large teams
  • Minimum of 2 years technical program and/or portfolio manager experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience supporting SDLC Methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) from a governance perspective
  • Knowledge of key technology components of the SDLC (Dev Standards, Testing, Security, etc..) and demonstrated ability to partner with subject matter experts in those areas
  • Strong documentation skills. Ability to develop procedures and training.
  • Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks related to change management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver training
  • Experience partnering with project manager to educate them on delivery methodologies and driving compliance
  • Adept at communicating the value of a PMO
  • Experience building and/or running a PMO or similar Team
Compensation Starting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
